Pre-Game Conferences and Ground Rules
Umpires/Coaches should hold a pre game conference at home plate before each game and should include:
- Check home team line up card (for big diamond games)
- Check visiting team line up card (for big diamond games)
- Home team coach explains ground rules
- Home plate umpire asks and confirms if all players are properly equipped
- Tell the coaches about the disicpline for an illegal bat
- Reinforce expectations of good sportsmanship
- Remind coaches to assist in keeping the game moving at a brisk pace
